Our Founder Story
My journey creating natural skincare began with my personal struggles with acne, hyperpigmentation and sensitive skin that severely affected my confidence and self-esteem. Despite trying countless products with empty promises, my skin suffered so I decided to take a more holistic approach. I pivoted to natural remedies from my Indian and East African heritage.
Disappointed by the lack of products containing a combination of these ingredients and skincare specifically designed for people of colour, I started making my own face scrubs, masks and oils using traditional plants and botanicals. To my surprise, these homemade concoctions reduced my breakouts, faded dark marks and improved skin health. But their short shelf lives posed problems when friends and family requested batches.
My light bulb moment was turning to powdered ingredients to increase longevity while retaining efficacy. This enabled me to create inclusive, traditional, plant-based skincare to nourish skin and confidence.
